What to see in Barcelona

Barcelona is one of Europe's major ports and harbors a great architectural and monumental wealth, featuring most of Gaudí's works, one of the most important modernists architects.

La Barceloneta, Port Vell & Atarazanas will show you a part of the city with a lot of tradition. The Ramblas lane extends from the port to Plaça de Catalunya, with the Gothic quarter to one side and the Raval quarter to the other. The Passeig de Gràcia and Avenida Diagonal showcase the commercial side of Barcelona, where all sorts of shops, boutiques and cafés can be found. The quiettest area can be found at the neighbourhoods of Pedralbes, Sant Gervasi and Sarrià.

Besides the tourist package of beach and sunshine, Barcelona is also a top cultural destination: showbiz, cinemas and museums hardly find a match in the rest of the country.

The Sagrada Familia or the Güell Park are two of the most visited landmarks, Gaudí's masterpieces. Other works from the architect include the Pedrera or Batlló houses, located on the Passeig de Gràcia. The namesake quarter is famous for its most genuine festivals and block parties.
