ALSA will certify its Covid-19 management protocols with AENOR.

Madrid, May 11, 2020. - Mobility operator ALSA has reached an agreement with AENOR to certify the anti-Covid-19 management protocols that the company has implemented, affecting the transport services it operates in Spain. This will make ALSA the first mobility company in the sector to obtain this certification.

This certification is part of the ALSA Safe Mobility plan, a comprehensive program designed by the operator to ensure that its services are operated with the highest hygienic-sanitary guarantees. Its objective is to offer travelers maximum confidence when traveling and thus recover their mobility habits in public transport, a key aspect in this phase of de-escalation of confinement to successfully face the return to normality.

ALSA's anti-Covid-19 protocols that AENOR will certify contemplate all the moments in which a traveler comes into contact with the company's services before, during and after their trip. In this way, they include processes such as ticket sales, transit in stations and docks, the boarding process in the vehicle, the distribution of passengers inside the bus, the air conditioning and disinfection of vehicles, as well as the protection measures for travelers and employees, among others.

CERTIFICATE OF GOOD PRACTICES AGAINST COVID-19

AENOR has recently launched its Certificate of Good Practices against Covid-19, with which companies can support before their clients that they are developing effective practices for the management of risks derived from Covid-19.

Within the certification process, AENOR will contrast that the Anti Covid-19 protocols established by ALSA are in line with the guide it has developed, based on the recommendations and requirements of various national and international organizations, such as the Ministry of Health or the National Institute of Safety and Health at Work, as well as other reference documents and success stories.

Subsequently, it will certify its compliance.

AENOR will submit ALSA's services to an audit through exhaustive evaluations, both in person and documentary, to ensure that the company is applying the appropriate protocols and demonstrate to clients, employees and the general public its commitment to prevent the spread of the virus, and as part of its ALSA Safe Mobility Plan, a set of initiatives aimed at offering confidence to travelers when making their trips.
