ALSA achieves the IQNet SR10 Social Responsibility certification from AENOR.

Madrid, April 12, 2019. - The passenger transport company ALSA has received the IQNet SR10 Social Responsibility certificate from AENOR, which certifies that it has implemented a Management System that focuses on social responsibility, good governance, and continuous improvement.

IQNet SR10 is the first international standard for Social Responsibility Management Systems and establishes the requirements to define, implement, maintain and improve a Social Responsibility Management System with the purpose of integrating Social Responsibility throughout the organization and contributing to sustainable development, considering the needs and expectations of stakeholders.

For Francisco Iglesias, CEO of ALSA, this certification "represents a step forward in the realization of the company's Social Responsibility Policy, as the best guarantee of its future. It is a continuation of our daily work to improve the economic, social and environmental conditions of the communities and cities in which ALSA is present, through the provision of safe, innovative, sustainable and socially responsible mobility services."

The obtaining of this certificate has been accompanied by the publication of the company's first Sustainability Report, within the commitment to information and transparency that ALSA maintains with its main stakeholders.

The Report has been prepared in accordance with GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) standards and verified by AENOR, and contains extensive information on the main actions and policies developed by ALSA in the areas of excellence, safety, customers, people, society and the environment, and which represent differentiating values ​​of the company.

Following the obtaining last year of the EFQM 500+ European Excellence Seal, for ALSA the obtaining of this certificate represents a new stimulus to continue consolidating the model of excellence, based on continuous improvement and innovation, developed in recent years.
