ALSA trials the first fully electric bus for urban transport in Oviedo.
The Mercedes e-Citaro model - which is already in production at the company's plant in Ligny-en-Barrois (France) - has a range of 190 kilometers and will circulate this week through the streets of Oviedo, to obtain relevant technical data on the vehicle's performance.
ALSA is committed to electric mobility as part of its sustainable growth strategy, which is why it participates in the Regional Electric Mobility Board of Asturias, promoted by the Ministry of Employment, Industry and Tourism of the Principality and coordinated by the Asturian Energy Foundation (FAEN).
For this reason, ALSA together with EdP and Innovasturias have created a table to analyze the development of urban electric mobility.
Today, members of the aforementioned Board have toured the city in the new urban bus, fully electric, e-Citaro from Mercedes.
Among the attendees were Ana Rivas, Councilor for Transportation, of the Oviedo City Council; Belarmina Díaz, general director of Mining and Industry of the Government of Asturias; Antonio González-Lamuño, director of Casa Inteligente, of EDP España; Javier Izquierdo, head of Sustainable Mobility of EDP España; Luis Buznego and Patricia Garcia, president and manager, respectively, of Innovasturias; Benigno Runza, manager of TUA; and Javier Martínez Prieto, area director Cornisa of ALSA.
