COFARES obtains "GOLD" with the European Sport and Healthy Company Award
On behalf of Cofares, Eduardo Pastor, President, Ángel Javier Vicente Pérez, Transformation, Organization & People Director and José Luis Sanz Otero, General Director, collected the award. Javier Vicente pointed out "Cofares, which began its journey with 100 partners and today has more than 11,100 associated pharmacies, with 2,700 employees, celebrates its 75th Anniversary this year 2019, reinforcing its leading position as the first pharmaceutical distributor in our country and fourth in Europe. For some years now, we have developed programs such as: quitting smoking, installing cardiac rescue columns, promoting good practices in nutrition and healthy lifestyle habits, both inside and outside of work, or the organization of sports leagues for employees, with the objective of promoting physical activities, such as basketball, Pilates, running, mountain biking, soccer, etc. This allowed us to be recognized by the European Sport & Health Award in 2017, with the conviction and commitment of senior management to continuous improvement during the following years.
Our human capital is "the main asset of our leadership", therefore, we are committed and obliged to offer and promote all possible tools to ensure the well-being of our teams. For this reason, this year we have passed the 3-year audit, and we have been recognized with the Gold award for the development of these policies. And what better time, our anniversary, for our president Eduardo Pastor, in the European Parliament, to receive this award on behalf of Cofares, which recognizes that our company as a health company continues to Distribute Health."
