ALSA joins the "More Women, Better Companies" initiative.
The protocol has been signed by Soledad Murillo, Secretary of State for Equality, and Juan Antonio Esteban, Director of Human Resources at ALSA.
With the adhesion to this protocol, ALSA aims to promote the balanced participation of women and men in high-responsibility positions, including pre-management, management, and management committee positions, as well as to encourage participation in decision-making in the business and economic sphere, providing companies and organizations, as well as women themselves, with useful tools to achieve this.
To this end, the Institute for Women and Equal Opportunities will organize various networking activities and meetings to highlight and value the role of leading women.
Likewise, ALSA will be advised by these organizations to identify the company's needs in this area and develop measures aimed at breaking down the barriers that hinder women's access to high-responsibility positions, allowing their progressive incorporation into these positions, as well as ensuring balance in the selection, promotion, and internal training processes. In addition, it will promote the reconciliation of personal and family work life through measures in this area aimed at both women and men.
The signing of this protocol is part of the "Plan Equilibra", launched by ALSA with the aim of making effective equality between men and women a reality in a traditionally male sector, and which includes ambitious measures in this area.
Thus, last year ALSA joined the European Program "Women in Transport" to promote the presence of women in the Transport sector, and the Code of Good Practices to promote female talent in the management of organizations, promoted by the mashumano Foundation, as a sign of its commitment to promote and encourage the integration and presence of women in all areas of the company.
