ALSA joins the Ministry of Agriculture's campaign for responsible pet ownership.
To this end, it has signed a protocol with the Ministry with the aim of carrying out joint actions regarding responsible pet ownership.
Through this agreement, the Ministry will share information and technical advice with ALSA on this matter, especially focused on improving protocols on the transport of pets, so that they can travel more safely and protected during bus journeys. ALSA, for its part, will support this campaign by the Ministry by disseminating its messages through its media and social networks.
The minister Luis Planas has pointed out that the #eresresponsable campaign is an initiative launched by the Ministry following Spain's accession to the European Convention for the protection of pet animals.
Planas highlighted the Ministry's commitment to caring for the welfare and protection of animals through various initiatives, such as the Action Plan for the responsible ownership of the more than eight million pets registered in Spain.
Along with ALSA, the General Association of Veterinary Colleges of Spain, the Veterindustria Association and the National Association of Manufacturers of Food for Companion Animals (ANFAAC) have also joined the campaign.
With its adherence to this campaign, ALSA continues to develop actions aimed at improving the transport conditions of pets in its services.
