Madrid, July 21, 2015

Toledo is the new city chosen by ALSA and Iberia to continue with the implementation of Bus&Fly, a product that allows combining on a single ticket the bus journey from Toledo to T4 of Barajas Airport with Iberia's international flights.

For this purpose, the Toledo bus station has been equipped with an IATA code (OLT) similar to that of airports, which allows marketing the capital of Castilla-La Mancha as a destination from any travel agency around the world, which gives Toledo greater international presence and access to new markets.

Under the agreement signed during the last edition of Fitur between the Presidents of Iberia, Luis Gallego, and the Group of World Heritage Cities, Javier Bello, this intermodal connection has been developed from T4 with more than 80 international destinations of the Iberia group.

Bus&Fly, the most advanced intermodality between bus and plane in Europe

Bus&Fly is the most advanced intermodal product in Europe between bus and plane, because it can be purchased through the global reservation systems used by the entire tourism sector. Bus&Fly can also be purchased through Serviberia and www.iberia.com, which allows you to book and buy it conveniently, from anywhere and at any time.

ALSA transports about 2,500 passengers a year from Toledo to T4 of Barajas to connect there with their flight. The bus company offers them two daily expeditions between Toledo and T4 and now, with the Bus&Fly product, it will be possible to combine that journey with their flight to any of the more than 80 international destinations that Iberia offers in Europe, America, Africa and the Middle East on a single ticket.

In addition, Iberia and ALSA have established combined bus and plane schedules that are perfectly calculated so that passengers have enough time to check in or collect their luggage at the airport, pass security controls and make their connection.

The implementation of Bus&Fly also represents a further step towards intermodality in Barajas between various modes of transport, which translates into greater use of our infrastructures and better territorial accessibility for Toledo.
