Granada Bus Station unveils its upgraded facilities

Granada, February 4th. - ALSA, the company managing the Granada Bus Station, today presented to the Mayor of Granada, Francisco Cuenca, the improvement and refurbishment works recently carried out at the facility, in which more than €230,000 has been invested.

The mayor, accompanied by the director of ALSA in Andalusia, Valeriano Díaz, toured the facilities, where he was able to see the improvements made, both in the attention offered to users and in the image of the station.

The actions undertaken have consisted of the integral reform of the traveler service and ticket sales area, the complete renovation of the toilets, and the installation of a new VIP waiting room for travelers. In total, action has been taken on an area of 600 square meters.

The ticket sales area located on the first floor has been completely redesigned, creating a new concept that allows for closer and more personalized attention to the traveler, in an open space integrated with the current lobby, where the information point and the self-service ticket sales area remain.

The integral renovation of the two toilet areas in the station, located on the ground floor and in the cafeteria, has also been carried out, improving their accessibility conditions for People with Reduced Mobility (PMR).

Finally, a new VIP waiting room has been installed on the ground floor, exclusively for travelers of the Premium services operated by ALSA from Granada. In it, travelers can deposit their luggage, enjoy the wait with press, television and Wi-Fi; or have a coffee served by a team of hostesses until the departure time of their bus.

ALSA has undertaken all these improvements with the aim of providing a better service, both to the travelers of its services and to those of the other Granada operators who use the station, with the conviction that bus stations are key infrastructures for operators to raise the level of quality of the service they offer to travelers.

This renovation of the Granada Bus Station is in addition to the improvements to the roofs, painting and interior signage and air conditioning, among others, carried out since its inauguration in 1996. And they will benefit, in addition to all the Granada residents who are regular users of the station, the thousands of tourists who arrive in our city through it, as they will undoubtedly see an improved first image offered by our city, which has one of the best and most modern stations that exist in Spain today.
