"Companies for Sustainable Mobility" is an initiative that arises as a meeting point for those companies, institutions and public administration that are committed to sustainable growth from an economic, social and environmental point of view. This platform will function as an accelerator, facilitator and generator of impacts to guide all agents involved in the sector around the present and future of environmentally friendly, safe, inclusive and sustainable mobility.

The objective is to facilitate the creation of alliances and synergies between members, to generate initiatives with impact, share knowledge and good practices, as well as to make visible the organizations and initiatives that are driving change.

The "Companies for Sustainable Mobility" platform already has the support of the Ministry of Ecological Transition and IDAE (Institute for Diversification and Energy Saving). In addition, as members, companies and organizations such as Addares, AEDIVE (Business Association for the Development and Promotion of the Electric Vehicle), Allianz Seguros, Alphabet (BMW Group), ALSA, Alsea, ASTIC (International Road Transport Association), Bridgestone, Cabify, CEL (Spanish Logistics Center), Spanish Red Cross, Cycling-Friendly, ECOFIN, El Corte Inglés, EMASESA (Metropolitan Water Supply and Sanitation Company of Seville), First Stop, Conama Foundation, Gas&Go, GIC (Intelligent Load Management), Grupo ETRA, Nacex, October, Repsol and Schneider Electric have joined.

The Director of Development of "Companies for Sustainable Mobility", May López, maintains that “we are at a crucial moment to join this change before it is too late for our planet. The platform was created with the vocation of being a catalyst that helps to take action and promote collaboration between members, allowing us to move more easily and efficiently towards environmentally, socially and economically sustainable mobility. We need to act now”. According to biologist Odile Rodríguez de la Fuente "we have few years to reverse this situation as we are at a point of no return."

At a time when mobility is a hot topic, "Companies for Sustainable Mobility" has been officially presented at the annual meeting "Promoting Sustainable Mobility from Companies. Summit 2019” which brought together professionals from the sector and spokespersons from the public administration in the capital to debate the future, trends and challenges of sustainable mobility in our country. During the event, representatives of the founding partner companies posed in a family photo to inaugurate the platform.

The Deputy Minister of the Environment, Territorial Planning and Sustainability of the Community of Madrid, Mariano González Sáez, the Deputy Director General of Air Quality and the Environment of the Ministry of Ecological Transition, Maj-Britt Larka Abellán, the Delegate for the Environment and Mobility of the Madrid City Council, Borja Carabante, and the Head of the Sustainable Mobility and City Department of IDAE, Isabel del Olmo Flórez, also spoke at the event.

This platform is open to all those organizations interested in joining to lead the change towards more sustainable mobility and generate a joint impact.
