Buses with connection to Geneva Airport
Public transport connections
Almería Bus Station is integrated into the Intermodal Station, being the first of its kind in Spain to unify bus and rail services. Located in Plaza de la Estación, it offers direct connectivity to the city center, the port, and the main tourist areas of the province such as Cabo de Gata.
Urban bus and mobility
Almería Buses (Surbús)
The intermodal terminal has strategic local network stops at its main access, facilitating travel throughout the capital of Almería:
- Line L2, L20 and L22: Directly connect the station with the city center, Paseo de Almería, and the university area.
- Line L18: Service linking the terminal with Torrecárdenas Hospital.
- Line L30: Key line linking the station with the Airport and Retamar.
Railway Connection (Renfe):
As an intermodal station, the transfer to Renfe's Medium and Long Distance trains is immediate, allowing travel to Madrid, Seville, and Granada from the same complex without the need for additional transfers.
Recommended App: We advise you to download the Almería Bus (Surbús) app to check arrival times in real time and plan your urban routes.
Airport connection
Transfer to Almería Airport (LEI) from the station is direct and efficient via public transport:
- Urban Bus (Line L30): Connects the intermodal station directly to the airport. The journey takes approximately 25-30 minutes and has a regular daily frequency.
- Taxi: There is an official taxi rank operating 24 hours a day outside the terminal. The estimated travel time is about 15 minutes via the AL-12 highway.
Car rental
Almería is the ideal starting point for exploring the Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park or the Tabernas Desert, so the car rental offer is integrated into the station itself.
Available companies
- Inside the Intermodal Station: You will find desks for agencies such as Avis, Europcar, Hertz, and local agencies located in the main lobby.
- Station surroundings: Various rental offices operate on Carretera de Ronda and around the railway station.
Mobility tip: If you plan to visit the virgin beaches of San José or Las Negras, renting a car at the intermodal station is the most flexible option due to its rapid connection to the Mediterranean highway (A-7).

Frequently Asked Questions about Alicante Station
The station closes at 01:30 AM, so you cannot wait inside after that time. If your bus leaves very early (e.g., 05:00 AM), the outside area has surveillance and there is a 24-hour taxi rank right at the main entrance for safe late-night transfers.
The terminal is organized into two levels: the upper lobby is for ticket sales and the shopping area, while the lower lobby focuses on dining services and access to the bus platforms.
In addition to the charging towers in the waiting area, if you travel on an Alsa Supra or Confort class bus, you will have USB connectors or individual sockets at your own seat throughout the journey.
Yes, both are allowed in the bus trunk. For electric scooters, in 2026 it is mandatory to have a circulation certificate and an identification label. Like bicycles, they must be folded or packed and the corresponding supplement must be paid when buying the ticket.
Alsa allows the transport of sports equipment for a supplement (approx. €5-€10 depending on the route). You must check it in as special luggage, it must be packed (in a specific bag or box), and you must be at the platform 15 minutes before departure to place it in the trunk.
If you lost it at the station, go to the Information Point. If the item was left on the bus, you must contact the transport company directly. Unclaimed items after 4 weeks are sent to the municipal Lost and Found Office.
You must request the assistance service (PRM) at least 48 hours in advance through the website or phone of the company you are traveling with. The station has elevators and ramps connecting both levels to facilitate your access to the platforms.
You should check the digital screens located on both levels of the terminal. Platforms are usually divided by companies or destinations: the lower lobby gives direct access to the bay area, where each door indicates the platform number.
