Buses and routes from
the Palencia Station
Public transport connections
Palencia Bus Station is a key mobility hub in Castile and León. Located adjacent to the railway station, it forms an intermodal core that facilitates access to the city center and connections with the main routes of northern Spain and the Plateau.
Urban bus and mobility
Palencia Urban Buses (Palbus)
The terminal is integrated into the local transport network, with strategic stops allowing travelers to quickly reach the nerve centers of the Palencian capital:
- Line 1: Connects the station with the center (Mayor Street) and the San Telmo neighborhood.
- Line 2: Ideal for traveling to the La Yutera University Campus and the Río Carrión Hospital.
- Line 3: Links the station area with industrial estates and northern neighborhoods.
Railway Connection (AVE and Long Distance):
The bus station is physically located next to the Palencia Train Station. This proximity allows for immediate transfers to High-Speed (AVE) services connecting with Madrid, León, Santander, and Asturias.
Recommended App: We suggest using the Palbus app to check arrival times and urban service alerts in real time.
Connection with airports
Since it does not have its own airport, Palencia mainly uses the neighboring province's airport for air connections:
- Valladolid Airport (VLL): The closest option. Regional bus services connect Palencia with Valladolid, from where you can access the airport.
- Madrid-Barajas Airport (MAD): Thanks to the AVE train, many travelers choose to go to Madrid-Chamartín and from there connect to the airport via Commuter train or Metro.
- Taxi: The station has a permanent official rank just outside the terminal building.
Car rental
Available companies: You will find offices of agencies such as Avis and Europcar located in the adjacent train station or in nearby streets like Avenida de Santander.
