Buses and routes from
the Salamanca Station

Public Transport Connections

Salamanca Bus Station is the main road communication hub in the province. Located in the western part of the city, very close to the Unamuno Campus of the University of Salamanca, it offers excellent connectivity with the historic center, a declared World Heritage Site, and the entire local transport network.

Urban Bus and Mobility

Salamanca Urban Buses (Salamanca de Transportes)

The terminal has stops for the local transport network at its main entrances, allowing you to reach the Plaza Mayor and other key points in just a few minutes:

  • Line 4: Connects the station directly with the city center and the Puente Ladrillo neighborhood.
  • Line 7: Ideal for traveling to the hospital area and the university campus.
  • Line 13: Links the station with the Plaza de España and the Paseo de Canalejas.

Railway Connection:

Salamanca Train Station (Vialia) is located on the other side of the city. The connection between both terminals is easily made via urban bus line 7 or taxi, with a journey of approximately 10-15 minutes.

Recommended App: We advise downloading the official Salamanca de Transportes app to check arrival times, line maps, and urban service alerts in real-time.

Connection with Airports

Salamanca offers road connections with the main airports in the area to facilitate international travel:

  • Madrid-Barajas Airport (MAD): This is the most frequent connection. Alsa offers direct services connecting Salamanca station with Terminal T4 of the airport in approximately 2h 30min.
  • Salamanca Airport (SLM - Matacán): Mainly used for seasonal and charter flights. The connection is usually made via taxi service.
  • Taxi: There is an official taxi rank operational 24 hours a day located right at the main entrance of the bus terminal.

Car Rental

Salamanca is the perfect starting point for exploring the Sierra de Francia or the Arribes del Duero Natural Park, so the offer of vehicle rentals is extensive.

Available Companies

  • Station surroundings: You will find offices for agencies such as Avis, Europcar, and Hertz located both near the bus station and at the Vialia railway center.
  • Local services: Regional operators offer pick-up points at hotels near the university complex.

Mobility Tip: If you plan to visit the villages of the Sierra de Francia (such as La Alberca), we recommend renting a car at the station itself to have total freedom of schedule.
