Buses and routes from
the Vigo Station
Public Transport Connections
Vigo Bus Station is integrated into the Vialia Centre and the Urzaiz Intermodal Terminal. This avant-garde complex places the traveler in the heart of the city, offering an immediate connection with the high-speed train, the port, and the urban transport network, facilitating access to the commercial area as well as the Old Town (Casco Vello) and the Rías Baixas.
Urban Bus and Mobility
Vigo Buses (Vitrasa)
The intermodal terminal has strategic stops on Vía Norte street and the Urzaiz area, connecting with the entire local network:
- Lines L7, L24 and L12A: Directly connect the station with the city center, the port area, and the Príncipe commercial district.
- Lines L15A and L15C: Ideal for traveling to the beach area (Samil) and the Bouzas neighborhood.
Railway Connection (AVE and Atlantic Axis):
As an intermodal terminal, the bus station shares the complex with the Vigo-Urzaiz Train Station. This allows for a direct transfer to high-speed trains to Madrid and the Atlantic Axis (Pontevedra, Santiago, and A Coruña). Vigo-Guixar station is approximately a 15-minute walk away.
Recommended App: We advise downloading the Vigo App to check Vitrasa arrival times in real-time and plan your routes around the city.
Connection with the Airport
Transferring to Vigo Airport (VGO - Peinador) from the terminal is direct and simple:
- Urban Bus (Line A): This is the most economical and direct connection. It departs with regular frequencies and the journey takes approximately 25-30 minutes.
- Taxi: The intermodal station has a large official taxi rank in the access area. The estimated time to the airport is about 15-20 minutes via the AP-9 highway.
Car Rental
Vigo is the perfect starting point for exploring southern Galicia and northern Portugal, which is why the car rental offer is fully integrated into the complex.
Available Companies
- Inside the Vialia/Urzaiz complex: You will find Avis, Europcar, Enterprise, Hertz, and Sixt counters on the service floor of the station.
- Station surroundings: There are several local rental agencies in the vicinity of García Barbón street.
Mobility Tip: If your destination is the port to take a ferry to the Cíes Islands, remember that the Port of Vigo is less than 10 minutes by taxi or bus from the intermodal station.
