Gare Saint-Jean (Rue des Terres de Borde)

This is the most important intermodal hub in southwestern France, where the bus terminal integrates with the high-speed rail network (TGV) and the tram system, providing quick access to the city's historic center.

  • Location: Rue des Terres de Borde 140, 33800, Bordeaux, France. (Located at the "Belcier" exit of the train station).
  • Public transport connections:
    • Tram (TBM): Lines C and D (Gare Saint-Jean Station). Line C crosses the entire historic center (Quinconces) and connects directly to Les Grands Hommes shopping center.
    • Train (SNCF): Bordeaux Saint-Jean Station. TGV high-speed connections to Paris (in just 2 hours), Hendaye, and Toulouse.
    • Urban bus (TBM): Lines 1, 9, 10, 11, and 31. Line 1 is the direct shuttle to Bordeaux-Mérignac Airport.
    • Long distance: Main terminal for Alsa, FlixBus, BlaBlaCar Bus, and Nouvelle-Aquitaine regional services.

Practical note: Being located in the "Belcier" area (the modern part of the station), access to the platforms is very convenient and spacious. To reach the train tracks or the tram, simply enter the station building and follow the signs to the main hall (Hall 1 or Hall 2).
