General Conditions of the Abono Único

Purchasing the Abono Único

• This pass does NOT allow changes or cancellations.
• There are two modalities of the Abono Único:
  • Normal Abono Único, priced at €60 for 30 days.
  • Youth and Child Abono Único, priced at €30 for 30 days, intended for travelers born between January 1, 2000, and December 31, 2026.
• If you are a youth, to purchase the Youth and Child Abono Único, it is essential to present a registration code. To obtain it, you must register on the Ministry of Transport website at least 24 hours prior to purchase.
• Can be combined with the large family discount.
• Its purchase does not generate points and cannot be paid for with Alsa Plus points.
• Validity: 30 days from its start date (at the time of purchase, you must select your desired start date). You cannot have two active passes simultaneously, but you can have a maximum of two passes in advance sales.
  Example: purchased on January 14 with a start date of January 14 + 30 days. On January 15, you could buy another one starting on February 14.
• Upon purchasing the pass, a security code associated with your ID (DNI) will be generated, which must be entered to use it. If you have already acquired your Abono Único from another transport operator, you can use it to travel with Alsa without needing a new purchase.

Redeeming tickets with the Abono Único

• You can redeem your Abono Único on alsa.es, the app, self-service machines, and points of sale, but not directly on the bus.
• Valid for travel on state-owned bus lines and on Renfe Cercanías and Media Distancia services. On buses, it applies to routes connecting locations in different autonomous communities (national bus lines). You can also obtain the discount at selected times for routes within the same Autonomous Community. At Alsa, you can find these services marked with a white star on a green background in the upper right part of each service during the purchase process.
• Ticket changes and cancellations can be made at least 24 hours prior to the start of the journey.
• Also available if you wish to travel in Supra class; you only need to pay the difference (you can pay with Alsa Plus points).
• Alsa will request the PIN code (generated during purchase) from the traveler when issuing tickets and verify their identity when boarding the bus.

Correct use of the Abono Único / Penalties

• The Abono Único code is personal and non-transferable, and you must respect the terms of use established by the Ministry to avoid its withdrawal or blocking. Inappropriate use, which is grounds for blocking the pass, includes:
  • The use, or attempted use, of an Abono Único by a traveler other than the holder. Blocking will be immediate.
  • Booking and not making the journey without having canceled it with the minimum required notice (24 hours for buses and 60 minutes for Media Distancia/Avant) on at least 3 occasions.
• The blocking of the Abono Único will result in:
  • Loss of the holder's right to any refund for the unused period.
  • A sixty-day prohibition on the holder purchasing another Abono Único.
  • If the block is a result of improper use on more than twenty occasions in the last 12 months, the infraction will additionally lead to the withdrawal of the Youth and Child Registration Code associated with the beneficiary.
• Also remember that:
  • On the bus, you cannot make more than one reservation for the same route and direction on the same day, unless you have previously completed, canceled, or changed the previous trip.
  • You cannot book consecutive trains without respecting the minimum connection times.
  • You cannot use the Youth Abono Único if you do not meet the requirements (age, residency, valid DNI/NIE).
