Dual Vocational Training is alternating learning between company and educational center. It arises as an alternative to the high rates of youth unemployment in Spain and to improve the match between training qualifications and the needs of the labor market.

ALSA has extensive experience in collaborating with Vocational Training centers, mainly in training cycles related to Automotive, Transport and Logistics, and Business Administration. The young people who have passed through the company have expressed their satisfaction with the experience lived in ALSA, through its young talent development program "Muévete".

In the words of the director of Human Resources of ALSA, Juan Antonio Esteban, "at ALSA we are committed to a quality Dual Vocational Training, which allows young people to reach the maximum professional development through the combination of theory and practice in the company. We have a team of tutors with extensive experience in training apprentices and eager to transmit all their knowledge for the improvement of the profession".

In the opinion of Clara Bassols, director of the Bertelsmann Foundation, "we positively value ALSA's participation in the development of Dual Vocational Training projects, in addition to highlighting that they are the first in the sector to set an example for more organizations to be encouraged to train young people."

The Alliance for Dual Vocational Training to which ALSA has joined is an initiative of the Bertelsmann Foundation, the Princess of Girona Foundation, CEOE and the Spanish Chamber of Commerce to create a network of companies, centers and institutions committed to Dual Vocational Training in Spain, which can be joined by all those who want to contribute with their own initiatives to its development.

The Alliance supports the adhering companies through four lines of action: advice, visibility, knowledge and support. For their part, companies contribute through the development of Dual Vocational Training, its extension to their value chain, its promotion in society and the commitment to the quality of Dual Vocational Training, through three principles: the remuneration of their apprentices, the training of their company tutors; and the positioning of their Dual Vocational Training project at a strategic level within the company.
