Alsa acquires the Argabus Group

Madrid, June 29th. Passenger transport company ALSA announces the completion of its acquisition of Grupo Argabus, a transport company based in Arganda del Rey (Madrid), which manages intercity, urban, and charter services, and has a significant presence in the Southeast of the Community of Madrid.

Argabus is a family business group created in the 1930s, and currently has a fleet of 74 vehicles, a staff of 135 employees, and in the last fiscal year had a turnover of 16 million euros.

It has extensive experience in the passenger transport sector and an important presence in the National III corridor, where it manages the VCM-302 concession - which provides service to the towns of Arganda del Rey, Mondéjar, Driebes, Ambite, Villar del Olmo, Alcalá de Henares, Valdilecha and Orusco - and the urban transport service of Arganda del Rey.

With this acquisition, ALSA completes an attractive growth and investment opportunity in a group with an excellent positioning in the Community of Madrid and good management within the framework of the Regional Transport Consortium of Madrid - for which ALSA already provides intercity services in the corridors of National I, II and VI -, and allows it to expand its presence in the Southeast of the Community, an area with great potential for economic and demographic growth in the coming years.
