ALSA acquires the Canarian bus company Gumidafe

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, November 21, 2019 - Passenger transport company ALSA announces that it has reached an agreement for the acquisition of the bus company Gumidafe, based in Gáldar, in the north of the island of Gran Canaria.

Guaguas Gumidafe operates more than 100 school routes throughout the island, the regular Gáldar-Guía line, as well as discretionary services, excursions and transfers. It has a fleet of 100 vehicles of different types, between 13 and 60 seats, and a staff of 60 employees.

Founded in 1991, it has 25 years of experience and a consolidated track record as a quality operator in the sector in the Canary Islands, as evidenced by its ISO 9001 Quality Certificates, UNE 13816 Transport Management and ISO 14001 Environmental Management.

With this acquisition, ALSA is positioned in the Canarian transport market, where until now it was only present through its participation in Tenerife City View, the tourist bus of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, creating a platform for future growth on the island of Gran Canaria.
