ALSA extends its AENOR Road Safety certification to all its operations in Spain.

The CEO of ALSA, Javier Carbajo, has received the recognition from the General Director of AENOR, Avelino Brito, in an event that took place within the framework of ALSA's III Safety Week which, under the title "Let's go the right way", is an annual initiative of the company aimed at strengthening the culture of safety among its employees.
This certification accredits that ALSA complies with the international standard ISO 39001 that establishes the requirements to implement and develop a Road Safety Management System within organizations. This tool has the fundamental objective of helping organizations to improve the safety of their operations, reducing accidents.
To obtain this certification, ALSA develops various initiatives and standards included in its Policy and annual Safety Plans, which have been verified by AENOR, such as welcome plans for drivers; safety inspections of facilities; periodic briefings on safety to all personnel, risk assessment on routes or frequent internal audits in each company, among others.
The company's Road Safety Management system includes the development and application of an adequate road safety policy, the development of road safety objectives and action plans that take into account legal requirements, through a commitment to continuous improvement.
The scope of the certification covers the provision of urban collective passenger transport services; national and international passenger transport by road; vehicle maintenance and station management.
Certification according to UNE-EN ISO 39001 is aimed at organizations, both public and private, that interact and have some impact on the road system. In addition, it has a positive influence on the road system and promotes safer behavior.
