ALSA wins the tender to operate the Marrakech sightseeing bus tour.

The service will be operated with new, fully electric buses.

Madrid, April 13.- The road passenger transport company ALSA reports that it has been awarded the tender called by the Marrakech City Council (Morocco) for the management of the city's tourist bus for the next six years.

To launch it, the company will acquire four new double-decker panoramic buses, which as a novelty will be 100% electric, and will create 16 jobs. The service is expected to be used by more than 90,000 tourists per year.

Marrakech is the tourist capital of the Kingdom of Morocco and receives three million visitors a year. ALSA has been present in the city since 1999, managing urban transport and, later, also that of its metropolitan area. In 2005 it launched the tourist bus. In addition to Marrakech, ALSA operates urban transport in three other Moroccan cities: Agadir (since 2010), Tangier (since 2013) and Khouribga, since 2015.

With this new award, ALSA continues its growth strategy in Morocco, where, thanks to the recognition of administrations and citizens, it enjoys an excellent reputation as an operator, and where it hopes to continue expanding its presence in the future.
