Alsa launches its Safe Mobility plan to offer travelers maximum confidence when traveling by bus.

The Alsa Safe Mobility plan aims to make the bus a safe space to travel, mitigate the risks derived from Covid-19 and offer maximum hygienic-sanitary guarantees to customers when making their trips, in the different services operated by the company: urban, metropolitan, long distance and discretionary.
To this end, the plan contemplates all the moments in which a traveler comes into contact with the company's services before, during and after their trip. In this way, it includes processes such as ticket sales, transit in stations and docks, the process of boarding the vehicle, the distribution of passengers inside the bus, the air conditioning and disinfection of vehicles, as well as the protection measures for travelers and employees, among others.
Alsa has initiated the certification by AENOR of all the processes of the plan. The entity will audit that the procedures are correctly designed and effectively implemented, according to the requirements of the Certificate of Good Practices against Covid-19 of AENOR. It would be the first company in the mobility sector in Spain to obtain this Certificate.
For Francisco Iglesias, CEO of Alsa, "our objective with Alsa Safe Mobility is that people return to travel by bus with total confidence and maximum tranquility, and thus recover their mobility habits by bus, a key aspect in the face of the next phases of de-escalation and to successfully face the return to normality."
CONFIDENCE AND SECURITY FROM ORIGIN TO DESTINATION
To offer a travel experience with the greatest guarantees of safety, a set of measures is contemplated even before starting the trip. Thus, the purchase of tickets through digital channels is prioritized, to minimize the use of cash, and on the company's website the traveler has access to all the information and health recommendations before traveling. Upon arrival at the station, new bus boarding protocols have been established to comply with the required distancing measures.
Once on board, the traveler will find clearly identified the seats that cannot be used to ensure the distance between passengers. You will always see the first row behind the driver free, who will have screens and protection elements. During the journey, travelers must wear masks and will have disinfectant gel dispensers at their disposal.
Likewise, the renewal and purification of the interior air will be maximized through the installation of new bioactive carbon filters, thanks to which the interior air is permanently renewed during the trip, eliminating 99% of particles. Air purification equipment will also be installed, which through ozonation and ionization, destroy biological contaminants such as bacteria and viruses.
Finally, when arriving at the destination, Alsa has reinforced the cleaning and disinfection processes of the fleet that are already carried out daily with new specific protocols with specialized products of certified registration, among them, with a new method of nebulization of broad spectrum disinfectant.
For the design and implementation of the Alsa Safe Mobility plan, the company has followed the rules and recommendations of the health, labor and transport authorities, as well as the best and most innovative practices observed in other sectors, both nationally and internationally, in order to offer maximum guarantees of protection to travelers and regain their confidence in the bus as a safe space to travel.
