ALSA resumes operations for its long-distance national services.

Madrid, June 19, 2020. - Coinciding with the end of the state of emergency, starting next Sunday, the 21st, the mobility operator Alsa will resume operating its long-distance national services between the different Autonomous Communities, connecting nearly 600 destinations throughout the country. Book your journey now!

To this end, the company has implemented a comprehensive safe mobility program to make the bus a safe space to travel and offer travelers maximum health and hygiene guarantees during the journey, which includes new processes for renewing and purifying the air inside the vehicles, and reinforced cleaning and disinfection processes through nebulization, among others.

The correct design and implementation of these security protocols has been certified by Aenor, who has awarded them its Certificate of Good Anti Covid-19 Management Practices, which is an additional guarantee for travelers.

This restart of operations will be carried out gradually over the next few weeks, as the demand for travel increases and mobility habits return to normal levels. To support this return to normality, the company offers a 20% discount on its base fare to any national destination, for tickets purchased until June 30 to travel this summer.

Given their status as essential services, Alsa has been operating its routes throughout the state of alarm, although -due to the restrictions imposed on mobility that limited travel to unavoidable justified reasons- with the minimum essential levels. During this period, it made the conditions for changing and canceling tickets as flexible as possible for its customers, and has already facilitated the return of the amount of more than 200,000 tickets. Now, the company is starting the gradual return to normality in its operations, once the restrictions on mobility between autonomous communities have been lifted.

NEW WEB

Coinciding with this reopening of mobility, Alsa has launched its new Web which already incorporates its new brand image and various innovations that improve the experience of its customers in the digital environment.

The company has completely redesigned its site, adapting it to the new brand with a more attractive and friendly design, both in the desktop version and in the mobile applications for iOs and Android. The new layout significantly improves performance, especially loading speed, and its improved "responsive" behavior makes it adapt perfectly to different types of device.

Among the new features that improve the user experience during the purchase process, it is worth highlighting: the presentation of the different rates in a clearer way, always offering the cheapest rate to travel by default in the first place; the new management of changes and cancellation of tickets, which are now carried out more quickly and intuitively; the new route finder; and an updated electronic ticket format with clearer and more understandable information.

Alsa was the first transport company in Spain to offer its customers the purchase of tickets over the Internet in 1999 and since then has been strongly committed to the development of its digital channels. Its website receives more than 53 million visits annually, has more than 600,000 registered users, and channels nearly 60% of the company's sales. Its site has the Electronic Commerce Security Certificate.
