Madrid, January 11, 2021.- The mobility operator Alsa reports that since 12:00 today it has restarted the operation of its Long Distance services that connect Madrid with different points in Spain, and that it had been forced to cancel during the weekend due to the closure of roads in and out of Madrid caused by the storm "Filomena".

Thus, throughout the day today, in parallel with the cleaning and opening of the main roads and once the safety of traffic has been confirmed, Alsa has proceeded to restart its services that connect Madrid with the main destinations communicated by the A3 (Alicante and Murcia), A4 (Granada), A2 (Zaragoza and Barcelona), A1 (Burgos, Vitoria, Bilbao and San Sebastián) and A6 (Valladolid, León, Asturias and Galicia).

The Madrid-Toledo and Madrid-Guadalajara services have not yet been able to be restarted, due to problems in the departures from both cities and entry into the interchanges from where they operate. The company hopes to be able to open them gradually from tomorrow Tuesday.

In any case, Alsa recommends that travelers who plan to travel in the coming days confirm the status of their trip on the Web, App or information telephone of the company, given the possibility that they may suffer some modification as a result of the worsening weather conditions or roads.

The company remains in permanent contact and acts in coordination with the central and regional administrations to operate its mobility services with the greatest safety conditions for citizens.
