Alsa joins the 'Traveling Together is Better' campaign.

Madrid, July 5th. The transportation company has signed an agreement with Purina and CEAV to facilitate and encourage passengers to travel comfortably and safely with their pets on buses.

The passenger transport company ALSA has joined the "Traveling Together is Better" campaign, created by PURINA Spain and the Spanish Confederation of Travel Agencies (CEAV).

For ALSA, joining this campaign "is the result of the company's sensitivity towards improving the transport conditions for our clients' pets." Therefore, within the scope of this collaboration, "ALSA will work together with Purina and CEAV to develop innovative models for the safe and adapted transport of pets in public transport."

The "Traveling Together is Better" campaign, which was presented at FITUR 2017 and includes the creation of the first Pet Friendly tourist seal in the country, aims to help families identify those Spanish travel agencies that offer vacation packages suitable for pets. How? By placing an identifying sticker in the windows of offices or on their website. Throughout this year, the seal has achieved the adhesion of more than a hundred agencies and online and offline operators, including Destinia, Zafiro Tours, Viajes Martel or viajarsolo.com.

In addition, in the current edition of the fair, PURINA and CEAV have presented the first web search engine for Pet Friendly travel agencies in Spain. The web allows users to locate their nearest Pet Friendly office by entering their postal code, province or autonomous community of residence; as well as online agencies adhering to the "Traveling Together is Better" seal. The initiative has won the 2017 Tourism Excellence award.

Now, after the agreement signed with ALSA, the advice of veterinarians and Purina professionals is included to collaborate and promote improvement actions in connectivity and access to public transport. The objective is that users who are accompanied by their pets can use the bus comfortably and safely.

With the creation of the first search engine for Pet Friendly agencies in Spain, the "Traveling Together is Better" campaign wants to be a benchmark in the country in everything related to the organization of trips with pets, as well as to promote responsible pet ownership and promote an increasingly pet friendly society.
