ALSA joins the European "Women in Transport" Platform to promote the presence of women in the transportation sector.

Madrid, July 11th. The passenger transport company ALSA has recently joined the European platform “Women in Transport-EU Platform for Change,” a program aimed at promoting the employment of women in the transport sector and combating gender discrimination.

ALSA thus joins this project promoted by the European Commission to encourage women's access to this sector, in which they are underrepresented, especially in driver and vehicle maintenance positions.

This initiative is part of the "Equilibra" program, launched by ALSA to promote the integration and presence of women in the company.

By joining this program, ALSA, together with other companies, is committed to promoting female employment, sharing ideas and good practices in various areas of the transport sector, ensuring work-life balance, and other actions that will benefit both men and women and that will contribute to eliminating gender stereotypes.

Among the objectives pursued by ALSA is to guarantee equal opportunities, increase the number of women in management positions, improve opportunities for female employees, and of course, address any form of workplace violence.

After signing the "Code of Good Practices for Talent Management and Improvement of Business Competitiveness" promoted by the Mashumano Foundation last May, and now the "Women in Transport" program, ALSA continues with its commitment to promoting and encouraging diverse talent within the company.
