Alsa and Julià launch the Marrakech hop-on hop-off sightseeing bus tour.

Madrid/Barcelona, November 22nd - The temporary joint venture formed by ALSA and Grupo Julià has recently inaugurated the new tourist bus service in Marrakech, after being awarded the tender called by the City Council for the management of this service for the next six years. For its launch, four new double-decker panoramic buses have been acquired, which as a novelty are 100% electric and therefore generate no emissions, thus adapting to the environmental requirements of the city.

The new service offers two circuits, the "Historical Palm Grove" and "Palm Grove Tour", which allow you to discover all the attractions of the rich historical and artistic heritage of Marrakech, the tourist capital of Morocco that receives three million visitors a year.

The service is expected to be used by more than 90,000 tourists per year. For its launch, the temporary association formed by Grupo Julià and ALSA has invested 1.8 million euros and has created 20 direct and 200 indirect jobs.

ALSA has been present in Marrakech since 1999, managing urban transport and, subsequently, also that of its metropolitan area. In 2005, it launched the first tourist bus service in the city.

Grupo Julià is one of the main Spanish business groups specialized in global tourism and mobility services, and through its City Tour Worldwide division it has positioned itself as the second international operator of tourist buses with a total displacement of more than four million passengers in 2016. The City Tour tourist buses and trains operate in the main Spanish and international capitals, including Barcelona, Madrid, San Sebastián, Granada, London, Rome, Mexico and San Francisco.
