ALSA adds 14 new buses to its services from Galicia.
Santiago de Compostela, February 12.- The road passenger transport company ALSA reports that this February it has proceeded to renew the fleet with which it operates its services from Galicia, with the incorporation of 14 latest generation vehicles, which has involved an investment of 3.8 million ¿.
Of the 14 new vehicles, 10 have already been incorporated into the different services, and the remaining four units will do so before June.
The new units are destined for the routes that the company operates from the cities of Coruña, Santiago, Lugo, Ferrol and other Galician towns with Madrid, Castilla y León and Asturias.
With the entry into operation of the new fleet, ALSA improves the travel experience and the quality of service it offers to travelers from Galicia, operating its routes with the most technologically advanced vehicles on the market.
LATEST GENERATION COACHES
The new coaches are Mercedes-Benz Tourismo 16RHD integrals, one of the most recognized models and offering the highest levels of comfort. It has only 48 seats, which guarantees ample separation between seats, also standing out for its safety, accessibility and respect for the environment.
In terms of safety, they have the most advanced active and passive safety systems on the market, such as: Electronic Pneumatic Brakes (EBS); Electronic Stability Control System (ESP); Anti-Slip System (ASR); and Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), and all seats incorporate a seat belt.
The new coaches are accessible for People with Reduced Mobility (PMR) and integrate a lifting platform and space to accommodate up to two wheelchairs, to facilitate access and travel in perfect conditions for people in wheelchairs.
Regarding the environment, they are equipped with Euro VI engines, which guarantees low levels of emissions, and the thermal engine is equipped with an Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system, Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) and Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR), using 7% biodiesel fuel.
With the incorporation of these new vehicles, ALSA continues to improve the levels of safety, quality and innovation in its services from Galicia. From Coruña, Santiago, Lugo and Ferrol to Madrid ALSA operates more than 20 daily services, of which 15 stop at Terminal 4 of the Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport. It also offers more than 30 daily services from these cities to Castilla y León (Ponferrada and Valladolid) and more than 25 to Asturias (Oviedo and Gijón).
