ALSA is the first road passenger transport company in Spain to obtain the AA level Accessibility Certificate for its website, which allows and facilitates any person with a disability to access, browse and interact with the site effectively and autonomously.

The certification has been granted by ILUNION Tecnología y Accesibilidad, a company of the ONCE group of social enterprises and its Foundation specializing in web accessibility certifications, after conducting its Accessibility Audit. This demanding certification recognizes that www.alsa.es has reached the AA level of Ilunion accessibility for its desktop version, according to the accessibility guidelines for the content of the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

With its achievement, ALSA becomes the first Spanish road passenger transport company, and the first in the entire transport sector to certify a transactional website, which offers accessible online content and services, making www.alsa.es a website without barriers to access to information for the nearly four million people with some type of disability (visual, auditory, physical,...) who live in Spain and need greater assistance.

ALSA, which also had certified the accessibility of the previous version of its website, has managed that in one year its new portal, which receives more than two million visits per month and has one million unique users, is available to anyone, thanks to an improvement according to the criteria of maximum simplicity, scope and effectiveness, which allows a simple and socially responsible navigation.

With this certification, ALSA reaffirms its commitment to the community, within its Universal Accessibility Policy, and sees rewarded its effort to adapt its services to the needs and situations of all travelers, including those with disabilities.
