    Adapted buses

    Our buses are adapted to the special needs of passengers with reduced mobility. Check the availability and characteristics of each vehicle and service.

     

    All adapted intercity buses have:

    Exterior signage

    Exterior signage denoting the corresponding accessibility standard.

    Button to request lifting platform

    Exterior button for requesting motorised lifting platform.

    Lifting platform

    Motorised lifting platform to enable passengers in wheelchairs or with reduced mobility to access the bus.

    Grab bar and handrail system

    A complete system of non-slip grab bars and handrails in contrasting colours to facilitate passengers in wheelchairs and those with disabilities or with reduced mobility when boarding and disembarking the bus.

    Adapted vehicle floor

    Non-slip, non-glare bus floor when both wet and dry.

    Marked stair nosing

    The steps up to the bus have stair nosings in a contrasting colour, generally in yellow or a reflective material.

    Lighting at the entrance

    Lighting at the entrance steps.

    Spaces for passengers in wheelchairs (PMRSR)

    Seat-free space for passengers in wheelchairs. This must be booked at least 48 hours in advance and should be indicated at the time of purchase. Spaces for passengers in wheelchairs cost the same as conventional seats but they cannot be selected as they are located in a specific part of the vehicle.

    Passengers in wheelchairs that would like to travel in a conventional seat should indicate this at the time of purchase. They must also be capable of entering the bus and seating themselves independently or be accompanied by someone who assists them. In this case, the wheelchair may be stored in the luggage hold.

    Special seat belts

    Seat belt extensions for users that need it and special seat belts for pregnant women.

    Some of our intercity buses have:
    • Kneeling system that lowers the vehicle to facilitate access for passengers with disabilities or reduced mobility.

    • Seats designated for passengers with reduced mobility or with some kind of disability. These seats have different upholstery and more space for passengers travelling with assistance dogs and have stickers to distinguish them from regular seats.

       

    • Stop and call buttons beside seats reserved for passengers with disabilities or special needs.
    • Fastening for assistance dogs beside seats reserved for passengers with reduced mobility.

    • Braille signs with seat numbers and information on safety aspects.

    • Magnetic induction devices to ensure that passengers with hearing impairments have access to information.

     

    * None of our routes or services offer buses with an adapted toilet.

    ** Not all routes offer adapted vehicles and services.

    Visual or audible devices that indicate the name of the next stop and if it has been requested.
