Alsa adheres to the authorities' recommendations on responsibility for travel. That is why at Alsa we have strengthened our security and cleaning protocols against COVID-19 to offer you Safe Mobility.
Our protocols have been certified by AENOR with the seal against COVID-19 that endorses the effectiveness of the protection, cleaning and disinfection processes implemented.
Our services are carried out in compliance with strict controls to guarantee the safety of both travelers and drivers.
Indoor air quality
Alsa buses and coaches are equipped with state-of-the-art air conditioning and air conditioning systems that ensure that the air in the passenger compartment is completely renewed every 2-3 minutes with air from outside.
In addition, to further improve indoor air quality, we have installed in much of the fleet air purifiers and bioactive carbon filters that remove 99% of particles and destroy biological pollutants such as bacteria and viruses.
Likewise, our drivers have the internal air recirculation function deactivated at all times to force its renewal with outside air.
Cleaning and disinfection
Our protocols against COVID-19 have been certified by AENOR, and fully comply with the precepts published by the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Health in their protocol for public transport
We have reinforced all disinfection measures on buses, we follow a strict cleaning and disinfection protocol that we complement with innovative techniques such as micro-spraying. In this way, we guarantee a thorough cleaning and disinfection of the vehicles with a minimum daily periodicity, paying special attention to the elements of greater contact such as: access buttons, handles, handrails, armrests, seat back and headrest, individual trays, WC , etc.
We use highly effective viricidal products, authorized by the Ministry of Health, and applied by trained personnel for their correct use.
Anti-COVID equipment for our vehicles
Our long-haul vehicles have hydroalcoholic gel dispensers at the entrances for use by travelers. We have also removed the floor mats to facilitate cleaning and disinfection.
In addition, in many services we deliver, free of charge, wipes or hygienic kits to passengers. Finally, all our vehicles have posters and multimedia elements with the rules and travel recommendations.
At Alsa we fully comply with the regulations and recommendations of the competent authorities (Ministry of Health and Ministry of Transport).
It is these bodies that establish the guidelines regarding the maximum occupancy of buses, which may be different depending on the territorial scope and the type of each service.
All drivers have PPE and self-protection elements according to their activity and validated by health authorities: masks, hydro-alcoholic gel dispensers, etc.
In addition, a large part of the fleet already has curtains or screens to isolate the driving position from the rest of the passenger, during the boarding and disboarding of travelers.
No catering services on board
To guarantee the safety of travelers and workers, the services with on-board assistant and with catering have been temporarily suppressed .
